OUT of ORBIT

For a time I felt

So comfortable

I never wanted

To break away

But one day

It hit me

–Out of nowhere–

With a club

The giant gave me

A big push

Catapulting me out

Of its orbit

Afterwards, I felt that

I could never feel

So close again

Trying to pull

–Me–

In again

Was to no avail

After rigidity

Was left behind,

There wasn’t

Any power

To change

My direction.
